Below is an overview of the terms of the Puppy Adoption contract. These are the terms of puppy adoption. When adopting a puppy from us, these are the terms you must agree to. Additionally, please review the Health Guarantee.

No Warranties or Representations:
(Puppy Adoption Contract Clause 1)
- Adopter understands that Regency Ranch makes no warranties (expressed or implied) or representations as to the fitness, demeanor, show quality, orthopedic test scores, health screening scores, or abilities of puppy/dog.
Vaccination Terms:
(Clause 2)
- This puppy/dog has the required “puppy shots” (DA2PP vaccine) based on his/her age. The Adopter will assume responsibility for providing the puppy with the additional necessary vaccinations at the appropriate age(s).
Basic Care:
(Clause 3)
- Adopter agrees to care for this puppy/dog, both emotionally and physically. This includes, but not limited to: Providing exercise. Never chaining or tethering. Providing all necessary veterinary care. Providing proper nutrition. Puppy/dog resided in home and not outdoors. Not over-crating the puppy/dog (more than 8 hours without getting out of the crate is over-crating). Protecting the puppy/dog from abuse, animal research, and/or fighting.
Supplements:
(Clause 4)
- Puppy is on NuVet Plus. It is a requirement that the puppy stay on this immune supplement until the age of (8) eight months.
Houseing and Transportation:
(Clause 5 and 6)
- This puppy/dog will have the same living arrangements as his/her family.
- This puppy/ dog shall not ride in the back (bed) of a truck at any time. The puppy/dog is not to stay unattended in a car, which is not running, for any amount of time.
Transfer of Ownership:
(Clause 7, 8 and 9)
- The adopter is not allowed to sell or give away this puppy/dog to anyone. If the puppy/dog cannot be kept, it will be returned to Regency Ranch.
- Refund of adoption fee will be based on the age of the puppy/dog.
Communication:
(Clause 10)
- The Adopter agrees to update Regency Ranch concerning the health, growth, and overall well-being of the puppy/dog at least every eight weeks for the first year of the puppy/dog’s life. Post updates via the Regency Ranch Families Facebook group, Instagram, or text.
Forms:
(Clause 11)
- Return of Required Forms: The Adopter agrees to print, complete, and return via text or email: Verification of Veterinary Services Form and Verification of Sterilization Form
Registration:
(Clause 12, 13, and 14)
- If the adopter requests papers, completing kennel club registration (AKC/CKC) is a REQUIREMENT and the puppy/dog’s registered name must contain Regency.
- Limited Rights: Puppy/dog cannot reproduce. Puppy/dog must undergo spay/neuter (sterilization) by the age of 18 months.
- Microchip Registration: This puppy has been microchipped and registration of microchip is required.
Health Guarantee:
(Clause 16)
- Should puppy/dog develop any of the disorders covered by the health guarantee which make it necessary to euthanize said puppy OR significantly impedes the puppy/dog’s quality of life before the puppy/dog reaches three (3) years of age (36 months), Regency Ranch agrees to replace the puppy/dog with another puppy within one year of the diagnosis/death of puppy/dog should the adopter choose to do so.
